350 eARTh, the world’s first-ever global climate art project visible from space that aims at showing the world how climate change is impacting our planet and providing creative solutions took place this Sunday. One installation that truly stood out at the event is the “Solar Eagle Taking Flight.” Installed at Los Angeles State Historic Park, this massive eagle is made from solar photovoltaic film sheets and copper.

Here is what Spectral Q‘s John Quigley, the artist behind the project, has to say about the installation:
For over 200 years the eagle has been a symbol of America. The Solar Eagle represents an America based on a clean green energy economy. As the Solar Eagle takes flight, so too will our prosperity.
