We have already seen numerous trash cleaning initiatives, but none like this one. The Indian Railways has come up with an innovative idea to prevent garbage from polluting our Mother Nature.
It has given a new beautiful life to an old unused engine that would have ended up in the scrapyard by converting it into a mobile garbage collector. A result of Central Railway engineers’ initiative of building an effective garbage disposal system on wheels, this unique collector has been designed to behave like a huge trash can that is capable of pulling in all the garbage as it wheels on. It has been build in the Parel workshop and can been seen cleaning specific areas at night.
